Real Food Cafe - Creston

We arrived in town around 7pm and checked into our hotel. The owner gave us a few recommended a few Restaurants and we decided to try this Cafe. Very home like atmosphere with very good food! We liked it so much last night we have returned again tonight without the kids. I had the bbq steelhead trout, one daughter had chicken satay, the other daughter had fish and chips and my husband had the real burger. I tried the special rose lemonade it was so tasty! Tonight I am having the trout again! Loved it last night. My husband is trying the ribeye. Of course we are having blueberry lemonade.

Nice to visit a restuarant that has more to offer than just burger and fries. Varied menu and fresh. Portion sizes let it down a little. We are cyclimg the Selkirk Loop and could have eaten more!

From the outside, just a house opposite town hall, but has several rooms and an outside dog friendly patio. Local Artists paintings on the walls. We have only had fish dishes off the menu so far. No complaints here, will be back regularly.

Really good quality food. I've had the lamb shanks both times I've been in Creston, and loved them - tender, beautiful rich broth from what seems like hours of slow simmering.

We chose this restaurant because it was rated number 1 by trip advisor. We have never gone wrong making choices from reviews on here. The restaurant was a shock to us. It looked like a home more than a restaurant and once inside you had to go downstairs. It was quaint and beautiful and our waitress was sweet and attentive. We ordered a blueberry lemonade that was unbelievably good, a watermelon salad that woke your taste buds, fish and chips and a hamburger that were better than homemade and a lemon lavender cheesecake that prompted us to take some home. I would not only recommend this restaurant but I would love to visit it again myself!
