Certainly seems to be a highlight of their menu and not something you can find very easily around here. The filling was a little on the sparse side but for $7.50 it's hard to complain. I thought the chả giò was fantastic too and it was a challenge to stop myself from ordering too many on the side. They didn't come out particularly hot but they were extremely crispy and delicious. Overall really enjoyed the vibe here and would definitely come back. They were so friendly as well and happy to recommend things to try. I had no trouble parking in their lot on a Sunday afternoon, and if it fills up there should be plenty of street parking nearby.
The banh cuon is definitely the highlight of this cafe. There are no other restaurants/cafes in Boston that has better banh cuon than Bep Bui!! The banh cuon comes with an egg roll and Vietnamese ham. The fish sauce is on the sweeter side and I actually like it!! I have also tried the banh mi with char siu (Cantonese style barbecued pork) and pate. The banh mi is perfect for people who are on a low carb diet! The banh mi has a lot less white crumbs than other banh mi around Boston. It is light and is great for a morning snack. Please don't forget to pick up the Vietnamese yogurt in a bag from the freezer section! I do not know any other places in the city that has this! It is sweet and tangy and is widely eaten in Vietnam. It may look very complicated to eat but don't let that scare you! People usually eat it by biting off a small part of the plastic bag and then consuming the frozen yogurt from there. Overall, I would definitely recommend Bep Bui! The cafe is clean and I would consider it to be a real hidden gem.
Banh mi que w/ charsiu was excellent, I liked their pate better than other banh mi places in Dorchester. It's a light snack size! Banh cuon thit had very nice texture but the chả toppings and veggies looked sad. I guess 7 banh cuon is good for the frugal budget, however, I wouldn't mind paying extra if they could deck out that banh cuon plate w/ bánh tôm chiên, chả chien, and more fresh veggies. I ended up ordered 10 lbs of banh cuon togo and made my own toppings instead. Lol. Bánh giò was also very light and tasty. Bánh canh noodle soup was decent but can have some improvements. This place was very clean and provided friendly service.
This place is situated between some warehouses so you would have to be looking for it! One of my friends mentioned it for the best Banh cuon and really one of the only places in Dot) places. I had never had this dish before, basically rice noodle wraps. It was delicious! I was bummed because they were sold out of the first thing I wanted but the second choice item was still good. I also ordered some extra egg rolls, which were so crispy and delicious. Definitely will be back in hopes of getting the stuffed banh cuon next time!
I preorder banh bot loc for 100 pieces, they called and told me it was ready. They have the best banh bot loc. While looking at the menu, I ordered their steamed rice noodles and Vietnamese udon. The Vietnamese udon was good although the portion was alittle smaller than expect.l, it is delicious. The soup was alittle thick with some pork and shrimp. Definitely come back again. I do wish they offer online order for catering so alittle less language barrier when I need some special request.
