El Canelo Mexican - Crossing

This place is really just average Mexican cuisine in my opinion. I've been here multiple times, and I've had the shredded chicken in multiple dishes. Everything that has the chicken has been dry. If you order the shredded chicken, make sure to get extra sour cream, or guacamole, or salsa. Helps with the dryness.

The food is authentic and excellent. The service was a bit slow. It seemed they were short staffed. The staff that was there were working overtime but couldn't seem to keep up. We will definitely be back.

Food was unexpectedly bland, Margarita tasted watered down. If you like bland not authentic Mexican food this is the perfect spot for you. Service was prompt and courteous however. Atmosphere is very inviting and place is extremely clean. Will I be back? NO.

Very good food. Street tacos, fajitas, all good. The waiter was very helpful and guided us through the large menu.Parking: Street. May be more difficult during rush hours.

FALSE ADVERTISING! ASK IF THE PRICES STATED ARE CORRECT My husband and I were passing thru and were hungry for Mexican. our waiter was friendly and the dinner my husband had was good. I had an $11.24 (hand written in the margin of the menu) taco salad that was meh. After paying our bill I questioned how much my husbands dinner was as the bill was more than expected. We went back in to inquire and both dinners were 30% more than on the menu!! Can a restaurant just charge whatever they want not what is advertised? Needless to say we won't stop again sheesh!
