George Howell Coffee - Crossing

My fav specialty coffee place in boston, they have different origin specialty coffee beans, decaf specialty beans and good blends. They know their stuff and you can guarantee having a cup that would make your day! Cozy place, nice seating. Highly recommend!Edit (one year later):George Howell WAS one of the best cafe I tried in Boston, but thats no longer true. I ordered pourover coffee multiple times and they serve it in a “ to go “ cup saying that they no longer have the flask and or serving tray. Which simply ruins the experience and taste for me. Paying 9$ for pourover coffee that would be served as americano ?I asked them for dry cappuccino once, the barista was clueless and said that the foam cannot be made. With my humble experience in coffee, I can easily make that at home.And today, I ordered avocado toast just to be shocked that there are no knifes. How can a cafe run out of utensils? The barista recommended that I use a metal fork because “ it would cut better “Extremely disappointed. I will no longer visit this branch.

Love this coffee shop and particularly this location.

Great coffee spot in Boston. I was unsure of what and how to order .. ended up not being too happy .. maybe I'll try again.

Lovely place. While there is a lot of seating, it's quite a popular location which means it fills up quickly (at least on a Saturday morning). Being busy, there was also a wait for food and drink, but they gave us an accurate estimate of timing and were quite lovely. The bacon, egg, and cheese and the cheese scone were quite good, especially the BEC with the aioli. The pourovers took ten minutes, but they were quite good, and it was fun to compare coffee profiles with friends. While it was pricey (pourovers ranged from $7-$12), it was good coffee. I recommend this place to those that care about their coffee experience/taste!

Came in with family from out of town. We ordered three different pourover coffees, for which they used chemex drippers. The coffee was fantastic and it was a great way to showcase to family how single origin coffee tastes. A bit expensive but worthwhile and would order again for any person new to single origin coffees
