We didn't find the chowder we were dying for up in boothbay, but we found it HERE!! Our server, Brayden, made our experience Even better with excellent service and suggestions..U would be a fool not to come here! (Try the Caesar too)
Excellent Lobster? roll and excellent New England clams
I wish I could blame the poor service on the fact that this is an airport location, however it's indicative of the ever-sliding service we've come to expect from LS. Snippy and curt interactions from most service touch points are just inexcusable in 2018. But I guess that somewhere between the rock and the hard place sits enough custom to let these places get away with it. #tipaccordingly
I must say right away that staff matters! The lady up front told us it was an hour waiting for a table, and we almost walked out. But one of us pointed to some empty tables facing the streets and was told by another waiter that we most certainly could sit there right now. Why would the first server almost send us out? The food was so so. We had lobster bisc soup to start with and that was one of the least tastiest lobster biscs I’ve had. Nothing wrong with it, but nothin great either. The oysters was so so, and definitely not what we would expect. The corn side dish was better. Then we where served naked Shrimps. It might have been me, but I never through they where fried like a nugget. I asked the server why she didn’t tell me this up front, but she didn’t take her time to explain that this was their way of making it or that I forgot to read the menu properly. I didn’t see any writing of oil+fried shrimps on the menu. For the price we paid for the food, we didn’t expect side orders to come in paper cups either.
Food was very good. If you order to go you will have to stand outside the seating area. The staff are a little abrupt and I wouldn't call them friendly.
