Overall, I had very high expectations based on many people saying best Italian in Boston. The food was delicious but service was disappointing. Waited over an hour and a half for main course and while we were not in a hurry, simply inattentive service. I would not go back when many other places to choose from for Italian.

This is our 'go to ' restaurant in Boston. The staff are wonderful, professional and friendly. We love bringing friends here to share in the top-notch, delicious food and the warm and elegant ambiance. We 've always had excellent dishes with superb service. Don 't miss the Osso Bucco and the rabbit pasta. Kudos to the chef, his staff and all personnel at mama maria 's. Can 't wait to return!

Hands down the best experience possible for Italian food in the north end. Prices are ridiculously fair for the quality of food and portions. If you're wanting a date night with your s/o this is the go to spot end of story.

The food, ambience and service were exceptional! They were very considerate of my senior parents and gave us the best table with disability access! They made the Father's Day celebration exceptional for my father!!

The food and the environment is really good, safe to say you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. However, possibly due to the number of guests dining at the restaurant that day, it did take quite a bit of time for our orders to be served and also because it is located on a street, loud engine noises should be expected from time to time if you choose sit outdoors. But generally the experience has been wonderful, would definitely go for another time.
