Bump it down a few dollars or add a couple extra ravioli and it would be well worth it. Everything else was delicious and worth it.
I cannot stress enough how horrific my experience was for this booking. Visiting from out of town for work, I chose your restaurant based on a write-up in Eater. Unfortunately, it was a major disappointment. The Burrata was ice cold, clearly just taken out of a very cold refrigerator. When I complained, the server dismissed it, saying, That 's how it comes. As someone who travels to Europe frequently, I can assure you that would be unacceptable anywhere on the continent. Next, I had the Orecchiette, which was overcooked, mushy, and excessively overseasoned to the point of being inedible. Again, my complaint was met with the same response: This is how it comes. This is not a valid excuse, and your team could benefit from a culinary trip to Europe to learn how Mediterranean food is properly prepared. Overall, my experience was terrible. Despite this, I still tipped and paid the ridiculous 4% kitchen fee, even though the kitchen clearly lacks the necessary skills. I strongly suggest conducting more regular training to prevent such incidents in the future.
Love the new small plates approach! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and the service was (as always) phenomenal. You HAVE to try the salt cod croquettes and the mushrooms. Still dreaming about those....
Bar Mezzana is a wonderful restaurant with great food, drinks/wine and service. They have a fantastic team and this is one of my go to favorites. A good spot for groups and solo dining.
The food was excellent. Entrees were excellent. Apps were excellent but other than the octopus, they were very small portions. Service was excellent. Charging $3 for bread was unnecessary.
