Dynasty Asian Cafe - Crossville

Farewell, Dynasty! The previous owner has retired, and the new proprietor is nothing like him. We used to dine there a few times a week, but since the change in ownership, the service has been terrible. The atmosphere has shifted completely; the staff seems unfriendly and as if they dislike their jobs. We always order the same dishes, but we've noticed the portion sizes diminishing each time. Tonight, when we ordered our usual, we couldn't believe how small the portions were. I decided to reach out to the new owner to express our concerns about the shrinking sizes. He spoke to the chefs and insisted that the portions we received were standard. What happened to the saying "the customer is always right"? It would have been nice if he had acknowledged our feedback and offered us a complimentary dessert for our next visit to show appreciation for our business. Unfortunately, he was unwilling to make a small gesture that could have preserved a valued customer. What a disappointment!

My second visit was with a friend from out of state. We thought it would be a great idea to dine there before catching a movie. We placed our orders and then proceeded to wait—patiently at first. However, several couples who arrived much later than us were served before we received anything. When I finally approached the waitress to inquire about our order, she informed the kitchen. A woman then came out from the kitchen and directed her frustration at the waitress. We were simply trying to understand the hold-up; we didn't blame the waitress. After this encounter, it became clear that the waitress was avoiding us and sent another server over to deliver our bill. I explained to the second waitress that we never blamed the original server, but were merely seeking clarification. Unfortunately, I received a dismissive response. In summary, while the food at Dynasty is good, the service and overall customer experience need significant improvement.
