My husband had their twin lobster tail special, and I had the pork chop. They were both cooked wonderfully. We will definitely return for more great meals! Do yourself a favor and make reservations forsome great food!
We arrived 30 minutes before closing after a long 12-hour drive. We were uncertain if we were too late, but the host assured us, "Of course not," and seated us right away. Our server, Shelly (I believe that's her name), was fantastic. I appreciated her checking my ID and being surprised by my age—it really made my week after a tiring journey! The drinks were delicious, the food was tasty, and the service from everyone was outstanding. We also loved the holiday decorations and enjoyed seeing photos of the owners. This is definitely a great restaurant to visit whenever we're passing through the area!
I visited the restaurant on a Wednesday night with my husband. We had to wait about 15 minutes for a table, but we made good use of that time by enjoying a wine tasting next door, which was fantastic. Our dinner was excellent, starting with the bread. I ordered the fettuccine alfredo with blackened salmon, while my husband began with the tomato basil soup and then had the Monterey chicken for his entree. The food was delicious, and the staff was very attentive. The prices were quite reasonable as well. We will definitely be returning soon!
The escargot and bread were absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, they had run out of soup and banana pudding by the time of our 7:30 reservation. The atmosphere was pleasant! However, the vegetable of the day—glazed carrots—was extremely sweet but a bit too firm to fully enjoy. My crab-stuffed catfish was served cold. On the other hand, my dining partner really enjoyed his bourbon-glazed pork chop. The staff was very attentive and friendly.
Brass Lantern is probably the best restaurant in town for special occasions or just going out for a great meal. Under new ownership, the restaurant's quality of food has greatly improved. Their portions are ample and delicious. The menu has a greatvariety of different choices. They have a different special every night that you won't see at other restaurants in town. Theyare getting their beef locally and that is a huge improvement. On Saturday nights, they have prime rib which is delicious. Theirbar selections are huge and Holly Cheryl are wonderful mixologists. Service is wonderful and they are very knowledgeable ofthe daily offerings. They also have homemade desserts. Jill Steve have put their own touches on the new decor and now has awonderful ambience. They are open for lunch and dinner. Dining at Brass Lantern is truly a delightful experience.
