Castella Fish - Croydon

Beat fish and chips I had miles around. we sat and ate and the service was very good, even gave us a few chips while we waited for our order. nothing was too much annoyed for us. had a small sign with sauces, lemon and gherkins too. will definitely come back!

During my first visit today, I was served by two polite young men, and I just want to say thank you! Everything was freshly cooked, although I did end up ordering too many chips—despite their warning, I insisted, and I truly enjoyed everything. The food was not greasy, and the portions were generous. I would rate my experience a solid 5 stars for both the food and customer service. Oh, and everything was served hot!

This place is definitely worth trying for their fish and chips! They serve a generous, crispy, fresh piece of cod, lightly battered, along with a large portion of chips. It comes with homemade tartar sauce, two gherkins, and a wedge of lemon—all for just £8. Wow, it was delicious! Plus, the service is always friendly and smiling.

The best fish and chips in South London bar none. They just recently refurbished the place after maintaining the same interior since 1963 and it's simply stunning. You cannot go wrong here. A true gem within Croydon.
