My wife and I ate at the cafe in the Whitgift Centre in Croydon, Surrey on 19th June 2021. It was run by Italian people I think. They were essentially an English cafe mixed with European influences. The menu choice was good and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and professional. The food were presented well and tasted well. The only negative was it was cash only payments. Would recommend to groups, families, couples and singles too.
Not the best poor decor so overpriced. £2-90for a small latte and £2-30 for a small coke served in a plastic cup. To say we are in a pandemic toilets weren’t clean either .
The cafe is clean and basic. The menu is very big and they have daily specials. My usual is the omlette which comes with either frtench fries or salad. I usually have the salad which contains letuuce, peppers, cucumber, tomatoes, coleslaw and cooked beans such as chick peas. The omlette is big and filling. The food is served piping hot. My only complaint would be the coffee served is weak and thats from someone who isnt a fan of strong coffee.
What to do when you want a quick hot lunch. Get an ommelette. My choice of oinon cheese and ham was I thought a good one. The cafe was empty so no problem with a table and the server was ready with menu and pen. My order was placed quickly and arrived just as quick. Nothing like a hot lunch and this was very hot. It was a home style not what you expect to be served from a restaurant. Some parts over cooked some done okay. I guess I would go back but not have the ommelette. The staff were attentive and polite no sweet chilly or BBQ sauce..
