Matthews Yard - Croydon

We typically enjoy dining at Matthews Yard and had a fantastic time as usual until my partner, who has a severe nut allergy, ordered a vanilla milkshake. There were no indications that it contained any nuts or legumes, but after taking a sip, my partner experienced a very severe and potentially life-threatening allergic reaction. Luckily, we were able to handle the situation in time. It was a terrifying experience.

Went here on a sunday morning looking for somewhere relaxed to eat on my own. Vegan menu was a surprise, I am a meat eater but my food was tasty. I had avocado on toast with a sausage. Ordered using the QR code which was quick and easy. Felt very relaxed in there and welcomed by staff. Will be back :

The restaurant has relocated to a more central location near West Croydon, making it one of the top spots for coffee or a meal. I highly recommend it.

This venue has now closed, the building is being currently demolished. the new site is up and running with the same name but now on London Road Croydon corner of Station Road

The service here is consistent and amazing. I really do feel comfortable bringing clients here, having meetings and just enjoying a space that isn't noisy. The ping pong table is a great way to relax after work.
