Peri Peri Original Chicken - Croydon

I recently visited the Tooting branch of this restaurant for the first time, as I had never been to the Croydon branch before. I purchased a few chicken dishes for takeout and when I got home and tried to eat them, I found them to be very smelly. I called back to complain, but the manager was incredibly rude and didn't want to hear anything I had to say. They hung up on me in a very disrespectful manner. I am very disappointed in the behavior of the Tooting branch and I believe that with this kind of customer service, the shop will not stay open for much longer. Shame on you, Tooting branch. Remember my words. Shame, shame.

While out shopping in Croydon, my friend and I stumbled upon a new restaurant called Peri Peri Original Chicken. The atmosphere was pleasant and the seating was comfortable. We decided to try the grill menu, which offered a selection of both fried and grilled options. This allowed us to choose between eating healthy or indulging in something fried. I ordered a whole grilled chicken in the hot flavor for £7.99, while my friend opted for a burger meal. The service was good and the staff were friendly. I enjoyed my meal so much that I even took some home for my husband. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant, as it is more affordable than Nandos.

The restaurant is not bad; it's great to see an alternative to Nando's. Since reading previous reviews, I must say the service has greatly improved. The food has a really good taste and is very cost-effective compared to Nando's. Overall, I would rate it 4 out of 5.

Well, it seemed like a fast food joint, but i've had gourmet meals served quicker. At least in Nando's you get to sit and wait with drinks while your food is being prepared. Seating was cramped, I had to get up while I was eating to let the guy next to me out. Food was standard but not really worth the wait.

Having seen that a halal alternative to Nando's opened in the area I thought to give it a try. As I went in it didn't seem overly busy, but the chap behind the counter didn't appear as if he wanted to serve me. What seemed to be the owner of the place was just leaning on the counter talking to his own staff. All I ordered was a standard burger and chips deal which took absolutely forever. There was a pretty lady whose ticket number seemed to be after mine and whose order was a lot larger...yet she got her food first and also the staff behind the counter threw in some free wings!! The food was like any other joint, nothing spectacular, service was awful, not a single friendly smile.
