Mac and cheese, potato salad and baked bean sides were all top notch. All we were served showed love in her kitchen. The real star? Your spectacular fried pickles. They start with their delicious picks, then bread and fry them. It's what really fried pickles should taste, the best I've ever had. Your five house sauces are also great. We're hooked to her sweet Virginia Blackberry sauce. We can't wait until we can go back there. This is some of the best BBQ throughout Virginia.
I visited for the first time and after 30 minutes it seemed that they lost my take-out order that really upset me. But when I came home and tried the wings and ribs I ordered, I was really impressed. Really high quality BBQ. I noticed that, while she settles herself as 'Tap', the beer is only served in cans that are a little disappointing So I'm not quite sure how to meet Smoked. Finally, a '4' good food decided, but questionable service.
My wife and I were for a wedding for the weekend in town and enjoyed this place so much, we went there twice, once inside and once. They really understand smoked meat and seem to use the highest quality ingredients. The staff was friendly and efficient. There is a low key, to the earth's atmosphere, which fits its style of food. The pig, the pommes and other pages we've tried were good. They are very generous with their salad portions, as the attached pictures show. We will definitely check if / if we make it back to the area.
We were looking for a beautiful place to sit and wait. That's not quite the case. It's clean, good food and no ruffles. You order at the counter and eat from paper. But it's very good food. We had the pulled pig and smoked turkey, with fries and greens for sides. Not the attitude we wanted, but we enjoyed the food.
Very good wings. Really liked the blackberry sauce. Collard greens were some of the best I’ve ever had. Only reason this is a 4 and not a 5 is I prefer my week nags coated with the sauce not on the side. Other than that really really good food.
