Located 2 stories up. We got there on the early side. The display of the luncheon special was not yet out. It was there when we left. Nor was it listed on the back of our menu. Doubly unlucky. It looked great and a huge...portion of foods. We shared the large onion soup and had platillos of eggplant and vegetable Milanese. I thought the Milanese was slightly better although everything could have been seasoned a little better. There is a menu in English. Sever spoke limited English.
This place deserves higher ratings. Recommended by a local so I decided to try it out, especially I've been struggling to find vegetarian/vegan food around here (due to my lack of Spanish). Although the menu was only in Spanish, I managed to figure out some...of it and the staff was super friendly and helpful. He tried his best to explain their set menu which is very affordable 95 pesos for salad soup 2 hot dishes dessert a drink. Probably one of the best meals I've had in Mexico City.
I had pasta, and knew it would be back given it came out less than 10 minutes after ordering. I was right mushrooms undercooked, watery tomato sauce, tiny amount of cheese. Very bland. Wouldn’t recommend this place.
The location of this place is great as it is right next to zocalo, but eating is so-so. there are much better places further away from the city center, such as vegamo or forever vegano.
