My aunt and I stumbled upon this place because of a Google search of Italian restaurants and we ended up going back for two dinners, a lunch and a brunch. The salmon panini is a wonderful choice for brunch. The service is also outstanding. We appreciated the kindness and flexibility of the waitstaff. Prices are reasonable and I'd highly recommend this place to anyone who wants delicious Italian food in Mexico City.
Ambiance Maria Ciento38 has a very impressive restaurant indoor/outdoor space in a remodeled large older house. Our group of 6 family members was seated in a semi-private room that was perfect to give us a feeling of having a family dinner at home. Food Food was all very good, we had a variety of appetizers, salads, pastas, and desserts. Service Great service with friendly server that was attentive but not over bearing. I would definitely come back to this gem located in a neighborhood that I was not familiar with before.
This restaurant is located in Santa Maria La Ribera , a quaint neighborhood of CDMX. The setting of the restaurant is very nice within an old house with an ample terrace. Here you will find traditional Sicilian dishes. We ordered to start arancine filled with saffron rice, prosciutto and mozzarella. We also ordered a fantastic burrata with cherry tomatoes. As mains we had grilled (Sicilian sausage), spaghetti al pesto Siciliano and lasagna with melanzane (eggplant). Everything was very good. As desserts Sicilian ricotta tart and canollo (delicious). To drink we had Aperol Spritz. We ended with nice cappuccino. A very nice lunch.
Absolutely nothing special to see save the lovely space. The pizza baked in a gas oven is just a replica of pizza and the pasta is not special in the least. It is not horrible but compared to the cheap taco you can get on the street the cheap taco wins.
Their policy for all are welcome it’s a total disgrace, waiters should have training for handicap people, in our case they treat us disrespectful and should add, we felt discriminated. After a few minutes a manager comes by and took this complaint as if it was of not such importance, they forget and violate any human rights amendment.
