Restaurante Bar Terraza - Cuauhtémoc

Daniel and Ricardo were absolutely amazing! We came for breakfast everyday and they were our favorites. They were so attentive and provide quick service every day. Daniel also made great recommendations for things to see in the city and how to get around. We can’t wait to come back!

We enjoyed a terrific evening as the sun set over the Zolaco. After entering a beautiful lobby and riding up a classic elevator we were seated at a table with an amazing view overlooking the square below . Our server Marcos was attentive and did a great job explaining the differences in the making and tastes of Mezcal. Overall, a terrific evening out.

A very beautiful hotel. We stayed 4 nights. The staff were so very helpful and friendly. We had breakfast there every morning and supper there twice. The food was delicious, the service spot on. Breakfast is buffet and offer a wide variety of Mexican food to taste and savor. The room was nicely appointed and complete with amenities to keep you comfortable. When we entered the room , a plate with our name was written in chocolate to accompany the treats that were upon it. When we checked in we were handed a glass of wine. I highly recommend a stay here.

It’s a really impressive building taking the old style lift up is worth it in itself. The view over the Zocalo is great too. While you do pay a bit more, drinks aren’t too expensive, and neither are some of the snacks. Really attentive service we had a waiter called Marcos who gave us loads of good advice about places in Oaxaca too

We have been in fine restaurants all over the world. The view from the Gran Terraza was the one of the best we have enjoyed. Plus, if you arrive before dark,you get to see the gorgeous French stained glass ceiling in the hotel. . We had the excellent 4 course tasting menu, which by United States prices, was a raving bargain.
