We were very pleased, ordered and received a good vegetarian meal. Chapeau. The service is also good, but could be more friendly. The wine list is really good, as they have not only Provencal wines, but a large selection of wines at reasonable prices. The atmosphere to sit outside is upstairs. Deity a tree covers so much of the view. We go back there
We were a party of eight people, and I had a very pleasant birthday meal in this restaurant. The food was excellent in all aspects, including quantity, visual appeal and taste. The wine list was comprehensive and quite expensive, and we had some excellent Chablis, and Saint Emilion. The only problem with the wine was that it was either sitting in an ice cup or simply not reaching on the table. With a little more attention to pouring the wine, they could probably have sold two or three more bottles! As it was, on a stage, a member of the party rose from the table and became the winery. The outdoor terrace is really beautiful, and the interior of the hotel/restaurant is absolutely stunning. We will surely return to this restaurant during our next visit in November. We met the owner of the hotel on our arrival, and he was absolutely charming .
I was somewhat disappointed as I expected more after reading the reviews on TripAdvisor. The kitchen is of very modern inspiration, and very well presented, but I found the dishes a bit bland, and above all do not understand how you can serve...tasteless tomatoes and peaches in the middle of the summer in the south of France! It is a pity because the terrace is very pleasant and the service professional, even if there is a little heat missing. To be honest, some of the other guests liked what they had, but I didn't really enjoy this meal.
Easy to find, nice parking space, renovated interior (a bit baroky in this rustic environment), comfortable seating. We were 4 at a round table (as booked), 2 set menus at 38 and 79 euro. What we ordered, fish and meat, was not available and replaced...by equivalent dishes, but still a little minus here. Good selection of local wines and the red 2009 was excellent, the 2014 white was more than decent. Another minus: 12 euro for a glass of bubbles, really? Out of tune with the rest. Overall we were satisfied and will certainly come back (as said, not much choice in this area). Annex advise: never go to Domaine du Lac in the same area!
