The doors are posted full of rock and metal gigs being hosted around the whole province, but inside the bar has a more laid back and rural vibe accentuated by the presence of numerous local retirees hanging around the bar to snack on tapas and drink beer or wine throughout the afternoon. There is a large menu of different tapas options, all of which are served as large montadito sandwiches at a reasonable price. I ordered the tortilla, as did my girlfriend, whilst our other friends went for a jamon and queso respectively. They did not seem keen on combining different ingredients to make a more interesting montadito, which was a shame, but we drank our cana beers whilst waiting a short ten to fifteen minute wait for the food to arrive. The kitchen is out in an outhouse in the garden, adjacent to the toilets in another outhouse, which did give it an endearing rural effect. Unfortunately, the menu could have been clearer. When it said tortilla , my girlfriend and I expected tortilla de patata; that 's the normal shorthand for Spanish omelette everywhere else in this part of Spain. However, we both received a simple sandwich with scrambled egg crammed underneath a bread roll. It was disappointing; if the menu had been clearer I would have gone for the jamon or queso both of which were enjoyed by our friends. However, manchego cheese was created to be enjoyed with serrano ham; so it seems weird that there was no option to put the two together here. For lunch, this bar was decent enough. It seemed like a good communal hub for a drink as well in the evening, but given that the tapas is entirely montaditos and those montaditos are simple at that, I wouldn 't bother with the food here too much everything they serve here you can make yourself at home for half the price even with no cooking experience.
