I’ve seen this place over the years that I’ve been driving through the area on Rt29, as it’s in the Southern States gas station. I decided to stop in for a chicken sandwich one morning while fueling up in the gas station and they had a large selection of sandwiches that they make fresh and put into a warmer. I opted for the spicy chicken and wow, it was spicy! It was actually pretty good. It was very basic though, only a fried chicken breast on a bun. The bun was good, not dry. Service was just “OK” though, as I was trying to ask the girl behind the counter a question and she kept mumbling her response. But I’d stop in for chicken, possibly a sandwich again sometime.

I knew I was no longer in Jersey when I walked I and saw they had just closed but there was still a tray of chicken strips in the display and the woman still put together a box of 16 for me when I asked if it was possible. You ask someone that question in Jersey and you are likely to get cursed out with those same chicken strips now being hurled at you. Give that woman a raise!
