The scones are authentic and delicately flavored, not overly sweet like a dessert. For anyone seeking genuine quality, this is definitely the spot to visit.
This is truly one of the best specialty coffee shops I've visited in Virginia. The staff is well-educated and knowledgeable about coffee and their offerings. They are also friendly and happy to answer any questions you may have. Many coffee shops have high-end machines and grinders but don’t take the time to perfect their brewing process, resulting in imbalanced shots. This place, however, does take that time, and you can definitely taste the difference. The breakfast options available are excellent as well.
The food and coffee are definitely worth trying. Trust your senses—breathe in the aromas, savor the flavors, and enjoy! Pictured below is the Belgian Monte Cristo. I follow a vegan diet six days a week for health reasons, and they offer plenty of vegan and vegetarian-friendly options.
Stopped in here for the first time last weekend and enjoyed a King's Cake latte during the Mardi Gras event downtown. The latte was exceptional and even though i got the order to go, the atmosphere inside seemed really chill. The service was great in the brief interaction that I had and I really like the bike shop that is attached and intended to check it out soon. Looking forward to coming back here.
Came here from Winchester. Was excited to visit a coffee shop/bike shop. I gave 2 stars rather than 1 for the cleanliness and visually appealing layout. Service left much to be desired, and I couldn?t help but get the feeling I was being judged, like I was going to steal something. Interactions were short, very little effort on their behalf was put into social exchange. Signage of laptop use suggests a much busier establishment in a much bigger city. Having come from 8+ years of managing well recognized bike shops as a lead tech, I can say customer service standards need a closer evaluation. I?m from Miami FL and recently lived in Denver CO?both big coffee cities and can?t say I?ve paid more than $7 for coffee. At $9 a cup this seems a bit superfluous for a small town. As a longtime cyclist and huge supporter of small businesses I was left disappointed, was not worth the 1hr drive. Perhaps I came on a bad day for the staff? Either way, unfortunate experience.
