Uncle Elder's Family - Culpeper

This restaurant was quite pleasant in terms of both the food and the atmosphere. The staff was small but very friendly. The building is old and has a unique history that adds to its charm. The food exceeded my expectations and makes me want to return. The service was warm and attentive to my family and me. The only downside was the wait time for the food. Although there were only a few other customers while we were there, you'd expect a BBQ place—where the food has been cooking for hours—to serve dishes a bit quicker. However, I’d gladly wait for the food again because it was so delicious. Be sure to try the grain bread!

This was honestly the best pulled pork sandwich I've ever had. It's both a shame and a blessing that I visited Culpeper, Virginia, because I realized too late that I just enjoyed the best lunch possible, and now I won't be able to have it again for a while. The staff were incredibly courteous and friendly. I can't recommend this place enough to anyone who finds themselves in Culpeper. You can't go wrong with the pulled pork sandwich!

The brisket sandwich was excellent! The fries were fantastic. Be sure to try the ranch dressing—whatever is in it is simply magical. The staff was friendly, and our food arrived promptly. We will definitely be coming back!

This is a jewel of Culpeper. Really good BBQ Brisket, BBQ pork, Hushpuppies, Masher potatoes, bakers... The exterior seats are available. Service is friendly. Park over the street in the large parking lot. Once you're finished eating, you're in a good place to go to the city.

Ate here twice in mid-July 2020 and found it amazing. I went in late in the evening and the person at the counter was straight with what they had left that day. I ordered the brisket sandwich on both trips and was very impressed with the presentation, speed of service, flavor, texture, and tenderness of the meat. Absolutely delicious.
