The notification kept pestering me, serving its purpose, and I'm here to say this was one of the best fried chicken sandwiches I've had. I really enjoy fried chicken sandwiches and the meat here was so soft, the sauce was amazing, and the bun was soft and fresh. Will definitely return to eat a sandwich here and try some of the other items!
Best chicken sandwich in LA! Your first bite is an expedition into chicken sandwich paradise. It begins with the glossy soft bread, preparing the palate for the goodness to come. Next is the perfectly breaded yet crispy fried goodness which leads the way for the most juicy chicken bite your tastebuds can handle. Thank me in advance for this dream masquerading as a sandwich.
The fried chicken sandwich is really good. It is in my top 3 list. They use dark meat, which I prefer. The collard greens are delicious also. I'd recommend they use just a tad less salt. But the overall flavor and spiciness is great. I've also had the coleslaw, which I was not a fan of. I can't remember exactly what I didn't like about it. If I get it again, I'll try to update this review. I plan to go back soon and try some of the other dishes. Oh, and this place is related to Alta Adams, which I've been to and also enjoyed.
This was horrible! I went to the comedy show here on Wednesday. Before I went in I asked what time they closed, they said 9pm. At 8:35pm I went in to order and the woman said we are closed . I said you just told me it closed at 9pm . She ended up giving me a fried chicken sandwich... I think it was the chicken that was sitting in the fryer as they were cleaning up.It was fatty, gross, dry chicken, with no coleslaw, not hot sauce, not even a pickle. I was so hungry and couldn 't even finish half of it it was so bad. The fried part was so thick, and Im pretty sure it was a leg, not a breast. I also ordered the collard greens... which were also SOO bad! I hardly touched them. All this horrible food was about $30 too! Skip this join!Try the chicken sandwich at The Window at American Beauty on Rose Ave in Venice. It 's $5.95 and so good! Or the collard greens at Baby Blues BBQ but Loellas... HORRIBLE!
Chef Keith is the man!! That brisket sandwich is absolutely amazing! Great food and great service. I'll be back!
