I stopped me and refused to let me go back to my seat. I had to pay first, and the meal was not finished yet. It was really disgusting.
The noodle is indeed very good. The broth is sweet and fragrant. The chicken rice is nice, too, albeit a little too salty.
Food was delicious and very authentic! They prefer that you order through your phone, but many dishes only let you remove one ingredient, which is bad if you dislike multiple. We were a large party and They weren't experienced with that, they served some dishes right away but others took 15 more minutes. The waitresses also forgot 2 drinks that we ordered, but instead of refunding us, they put them in to-go containers and made us pay for them. What's the point if we couldn't enjoy them with the meal?Interior is clean but plain and a bit noisy (because there's no noise absorption).Dietary restrictions: Avoid ordering through the QR code and talk to a waitress instead, so you can remove multiple ingredients.Wheelchair accessibility: There's a ramp but no power door opener, if I recall correctly.
4.5/5 but we round up.Damn good Hainan chicken rice and extremely fast service. I was in and out of there within 25 minutes. The plate was put together so thoughtfully. Great use of pickled ginger, cucumbers and wood ear mushroom to balance out the heavier chicken and rice. The chicken was also made wonderfully. It tasted great and the meat was soft. The rice was a bit different from what I was expecting but the chicken flavour did shine through. All in all, I didn't expect to be able to find good Hainan chicken rice in the south bay, so I was pretty blown away. This is the flavour of nostalgia and your childhood. The dish itself is not super mind blowing, but it's tasty, cheap and quick.
This used to be my favorite place. But things have changed:Hainan chicken rice still pretty good. There are some new competitions in the area and I haven't tried so can't say if this is still a best option yet. Knife Cut Noodles with meat sauce I used to change it to ramen cause I don't like wide noodles. However, they are charging me $1 to switch noodle. So I decided to stick with the knife cut noodle. To my disappointment, the knife cut noodle (generally refer to hand cut wide noodles) is more like thin chow fun made of rice instead of noodle egg and flour. It's also machine cut not hand cut. The meat sauce also too salty. And I had diarrhea after having lunch there. Since I've not eaten anything before the whole morning, it is only logical to assume its the meat sauce may turn bad and since it's so salty, you can taste anything wrong anyway.
