We had two chefs in Urumbamba and Ollayatatambo (sp. too lazy to look for at the moment) show us how to prepare some classic Peruvian dishes, then paired the meal with South American wines...both chefs were wonderful and meals divine. We also took a cooking class from a local sponsored by the Heart Cafe in Ollantay and we went to the local market, bought all foods, went to a local house and helped prepare in a classic Peruvian house kitchen that covered the cuddly pen bar w/ a board that could decide as a bank. Great experience.
I had an excellent meal here alpaca cooked on skewers with a stuffed capsicum. All the meals I had in Cusco were very good and this was probably the best. The service was good and the beer was chilled. It was surprisingly cheap. It is located in San Blas. Climb up the stairs at the back of San Blas Plaza and turn right. It is a little way down the street.
The Andean Grill is a fantastic restaurant/cafe to enjoy in Cusco. The servers are very friendly to make our experience pleasant. The food was well presented and was delicious to eat, but the food took a bit too long to come for my pleasure. There was a live band to go with our meal to entertain us. The band played very beautiful and typical Peruvian music. They offered us their CD and we were sure to buy their exquisite music. Overall, our journey to Andean Grill was a very pleasant experience with great food, great service and great music. We would recommend this place to any age. 5*
Had there about an hour to lunch for 20 soles=nachos with guacamole, a delicious rocotto rellenas, picky fabric mince etc. filled in a capsicum, aji de gallena also yumm with rice and a mixed fruit juice in a street called Procuredores by Plazza de Armas!, was a family running affair, Nice food and a great selection!!!
Menú abundante y muy sabroso.Desde la ensalada hasta el plato de fondo fueron riquísimos.La atención es muy grata y amigable por el recepcionista.Puede demorar un poco, pero vale la pena la espera.Solo tienen efectivo.
