The food was served quickly and it was delicious (the kids menu was not good for my taste and my child rarely ate it). It was so nice to bring the kettle so that I could continue to drink coffee.
Very reasonably priced and the staff was quick, polite and accommodating. I ordered the chicken fried chicken and it arrived in a prompt and piping hot manner. Very delicious and flavorful food.
No wait to be seated at 8:25 AM. Our order was taken at 8:29 by our server, Emiley. Emiley's witty and playful banter made us feel right at home. My wife ordered the Strawberry Dream Waffle, and I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak and eggs with hashbrowns and toast. The waffle was light and very tasty on its own. The strawberries were fresh and sweet and the whipped cream added just the right amount of sweetness to the meal. The chicken fried steak breakfast was delicious. The steak was well seasoned. A hearty meal if you are very hungry. My only recommendation is to put the steak with gravy on the main plate and the toast on a side plate. Some gravy was lost when I transferred the steak onto the main plate. Overall it was an excellent dining experience.
Okay, let's get into it! The packaging: the to-go packaging was your basic to-go styrofoam containers. Which worked well for what I ordered. The Food: The Club sandwich was pretty tasty. Everything tasted fresh and like it was made when I ordered it. I could have gone with some extra sauce, but it worked out because the bread wasn't super soggy and still had a little toasted crunch. The breakfast sandwich was amazing. Had the egg and sausage on a large Croissant. More then enough egge and sausage to fill the croissant. The croissant was nice and fresh. Honestly the hash browns didn't look that appealing so I passed on those However, the fries we got for the club were okay. Overall: I will try this place again. I will likely try another more traditional breakfast option. When I went for pick up it seemed everyone had a hot breakfast plate. So I'm checking that out next. Definitely a step up from your IHOP and Dennys. Customer service was also friendly and attentive. The place was packed but I was serviced right away. One person too my payment amd another had my food ready to go.
Whatever you do...do NOT get the grits. Absolutely the worst grits I have ever tasted in my life. I even tried bringing them home to save them. Naahh. Maybe an offer day for grits? Maybe just take those off the menu. My a la carte pancake was overcooked but nothing a Lil syrup couldn't fix. The main attraction was the Breakfast Burrito which I am finishing as I write this....it's Magnifico!!!! Before ordering it, I saw a bad review that called it a mess. Yes, it's a very tasty enjoyable mess not meant to be eaten with your hands! I could only finish half on site. I posted a pic of the inside during my 2nd attempt at consumption...and who doesn't know that coffee and soda are the only refillable drinks at, um, ALL restaurants? Anywhooo, I treated my broke 12 yr old best buddy to one of the skillets that he completely demolished before saying his next word. Our food came out pretty quick considering the restaurant was PACKED and it was only a 20 min wait for a table for 2. Our waitress was wonderful! Come hungry and leave ready for a nap! Even with the yucky grits CBH earned a spot on my list of local favs to frequent.
