Sapporo Japanese Cuisine - Cypress

I won’t be returning. I ordered the shrimp tempura roll, but it was mostly rice. I really wish I had gone with my initial thought and chosen some sushi from HEB next door instead. I had rice at home and ended up wasting my money. I didn’t realize that recent reviews weren’t filtered before my visit, but it seems that others share similar sentiments.

I ordered fried egg rolls, but the server mistakenly brought out a Friday roll. The hand-rolled tuna was supposed to be 6 pieces, but instead, it was all wrapped in a sushi roll and not actually separate pieces. I had to ask a busser for water as well. I also tried the Katsu don, which took over 30 minutes to arrive. When it finally did, it was just steamed rice with a soggy pork chop that had clearly been microwaved, along with an egg that was a strange gray color. I live nearby and there are very few good restaurants in Cypress. I won't be returning unless there are major improvements made.

We really enjoy the sushi and sashimi at this place. The service is outstanding; the staff is attentive and incredibly friendly.

The first time I ordered from this place, it was delicious. Every time since then, it tasted like something I would get on the buffet. No taste or spices on any dirt, all meat is overcooked and dry, fried rice is a firm 5 out of 10. Not worth what I paid.

Nice local spot. The food was pretty good and the service was great. The atmosphere is intimate, great for a date night. There is a hibachi area as well. There are so many menu options. I am a big fan of the shrimp katsu. The rolls and sashimi are great as well. There is also a bar area. The decor is very nice and parking is usually great as well. They have tinted windows but yes they are open.
