Although there are many ramen shops with a focus on quality, there aren't many that can beat Kokuraku-en in overall score. While specialty ramen shops are in a separate category, this one is truly outstanding. Today, I had the miso vegetable tanmen and half a chahan. As always, the ramen here is delicious. It may just be my mistake, but are the noodles different from other ramen here? They seem to be a darker yellow and have a stronger curl. It resembles Sapporo ramen in appearance. The chahan has changed in color over the past few years and has deviated slightly from my preference. It's still tasty though. When asked if I had a Rakuten point card on my way out, I had my smartphone screen ready, but was ultimately ignored. It's a common thing in the countryside. I love Kokuraku-en.
