Friendly staff, a huge garden with animals, and a play area for the kids. Seating inside the barn, on chairs or hay bales, plus a newly opened extra barn selling locally made goods and produce. Parking is opposite the barn, as it is a working farm. The number one destination for any dog walkers in need of refreshment. One of the best things about living in Berkhamsted!
Lovely location and stunning barn. Service Friendly and welcoming. Great bacon sarnie; but coffee pretty disappointing! With so many great independent coffee shops in Berkhamsted and Tring, all offering well made Barista trained brews, it’s hard to hide behind a machine based coffee with generic milk; especially when charging pretty much the same price. All that’s ok though if coffee’s not your thing.
Waited an hour and 20 minutes for food as did several other tables. Serving team were off hand and not at all apologetic, suggesting that it couldn’t possibly have been that long but was to be expected as all food was made ‘fresh’. My meal consisted of microwaved soup, sliced packet bread and plastic wrapped marg. shame as a nice garden.
Pleased to visit again after a lockdown. Nice children lunch boxes, ice-cream, coffee and bacon rolls. Lovely atmosphere, dogs kept on lead. The children loved to feed the animals. The only recommendation is that the animals food dispensers are expensive for 50 pence for a few bits in your hand but they may have been just badly set up and our fault for not asking.
Wonderful setting to go with a young family and to have a sit with a coffee. Been twice and both times the food has been disappointing. Carrot cake was fine but not great. The “warm sausage roll” was so basic and had been microwaved. I hope they improve their food
