Ung Dining Hall - Dahlonega

The staff and students here are incredibly friendly, and the buffet offers a decent selection of options, with some dishes standing out more than others. The pizza is excellent, while the barbecue is just average. There's a great variety of vegetables available as well. You won't find a better value or a wider variety of choices in the area—it's just $12 for all-you-can-eat and drink!

I genuinely like UNG Dahlonega. The small-town atmosphere, the beautiful mountains, and the more intimate class sizes create a great experience. However, the food is a big letdown. It's disappointing because I really want to enjoy it, but there are times when it's simply inedible. Honestly, my high school cafeteria served food that tasted better.

The variety is consistently lacking and the food is below average. There's always something missing. The ice machine is frequently out of order, and I've had better meals at most public high schools. Anyone who gave a positive review is likely not being honest, possibly influenced by incentives from the school. I can't believe I spent $2,000 on a meal plan; I've ended up spending more on food outside the school than dining here. The food is consistently disappointing—just ask any student. This is one of the main reasons many students choose to transfer. Even the specials are rarely available, and something seems to be broken all the time—like the milkshake machine, for example.

After a long day at work, I was really hungry. Matt was making pizza, and I couldn't resist grabbing three slices—yes, three! They were incredibly fresh and delicious, and Matt was super friendly. If only more people understood the effort they put in to serve thousands, especially while being short-staffed. The restaurant is under new management, and I can definitely tell that the food is improving!

The meal at Chow was incredible tonight! They offered a fantastic variety of choices. It was so delicious that I'll definitely be returning tomorrow at 8 AM.
