Not only was the venue the best place ever to catch the show, the crab cakes I had while I waited for it to begin were a breath of fresh air. Lots of Dallas places claim to do an authentic one, and few fail to disappoint, especially if you've had one in Baltimore. Larry and his crew not only wowed me with a dish that was crab cakes three ways, but sitting at the bar, the place was just fun to watch happen. Great upbeat vibe! I'll be back.
This is literally my favorite restaurant. I've eaten here many times and always gotten good service, and the food is spectacular every time. I'm a seafood fanatic and this is the best seafood in Dallas in my opinion. The prices are market prices so they may seem high for someone unused to eating at a high end fish market style restaurant, but it is consistent with the pricing of that type of establishment. I always order off the specials board and I'm never disappointed. The jalapeño cheese grits are my second favorite in Dallas, and the hushpuppies come with a remoulade and are to die for. I always get a hurricane too. HEAVEN!!!!
Today I was invited by friends at our church to have lunch here after church today. The welcome by Nikki (GM) was very nice and our waitress, named Dallas, was friendly and outgoing. The lemonade is really great and free refills, not fountain lemonade and not freshly squeezed but very close to it fresh squeezed. I ordered the lemon pepper grouper, with grits and greens. The greens were seasoned too strong with spices; almost like a double dose of pepper sauce was already cooked in it. Good greens should not include a lot of over powering seasoning. As I was eating the grouper, noticed that it was under cooked and was tough. We let our waiter know and they immediately fixed the issues by giving me broccoli and advised the chef of the seasonings in the greens. The main chef also cooked me another serving of pan seared grouper....and it was AMAZING....melt in your mouth. I applauded Nikki and Dallas for turning a bad situation to 100% better. They also provided desert and the home made cobbler was 'da bomb ' it is a family recipe. The gumbo is great...very different with potato salad and a half boiled egg on the side....a Louisiana specialty. This is a great restaurant with good food and people!
First time there! Food was great! We had a family style meal. Now, my family knows I'm will not just eat anyone's gumbo! This place has the best I've tasted, out side of mine!! Will go again!!!
First time here and will definitely be back!! Fresh delicious seafood, everything we had was fabulous... our waiter Noe was very knowledgeable and pleasant. We had snapper, tuna tartar, gumbo, oysters, and shrimp cocktail, all delicious, even my toddlers kids menu grilled cheese.
