Cabritos Los Cavazos - Dallas

Please keep in mind that I live 2 hours away, 4 hours round trip. My Brother had treated me to a fantastic lunch previously and the food was very tasty so I planned to return with the entire family. Authentic cooked Mexican cabrito is very tasty and this place was pretty good at matching the quality. I talked this place up so much everyones mouth was watering and I invited my entire family. I knew it was going to be very pricey for the whole family because for my Brother and I the cost was 200 dollars but I knew it was going to be a wonderful experience. The day was planned and we made our way to Dallas. When we arrived there were only a few scattered parking spots and armed security guards told me I could not park unless I paid 20 dollars. I saw a few spots marked valet near the entrance but everything else looked like general parking and thats what I wanted to park. The security said everyone pays. On previous visits this was not the case. After refusing to pay I was turned away. Not only did they lose my business that night but they lost it forever. Who charges for every parking space? Truly appalling.

Food was very very greasy.Camarones a la Diabla sauce tasted too sweet like if it was ketchup.Camarones miguelon tasted like mayo.Atmosphere was good but the food was terrible.First and last time here.

The atmosphere was great, I 've only been the once before and it was the bomb, however the ribeye I got tonight was the most saddest and pail ribeye I 've ever had in my life, everything else was fantastic, fajitas were deliciousI 'll come back again but will never order the ribeyeMed-well might have a different meaning here, more like we 'll done and no char!!!Server was just not attentive at all, and we still left 25% tipNon the less try the ostiones estilo Mazatlan awsome

The ribeye is smoky, delicious, and flavorful. Anything below medium is considered biting into shoe leather. The waitresses are friendly and extremely helpful, frequently asking if the food is good, if you need anything, and if you want refills. The atmosphere isn't pressuring and really comfortable. It is a not cheap tho ?.

Just not good. The food was bland and service non existent. They did have live music but no amount of live music can make the food better or the server check on you.
