Chili's Grill Preston Rd - Dallas

When we arrived, the hostess was quite flustered and seemed unhappy that we were there. After asking how many people were in our party, she abruptly placed the menus on the table and hurried off without saying another word. While the rest of the staff was friendly, our initial impression wasn't great. The drink was passable, but nothing to rave about. The restaurant was uncomfortably cold despite the pleasant weather outside. This experience reminded me why I had avoided this place in the past!

I walked in and stood there for 5 minutes without anyone acknowledging me. People passed by, but no one welcomed me. After a while, a group of 10 arrived and also waited for nearly 5 minutes, wondering where the staff was. Finally, someone emerged and instructed me to sit down, then showed me to a table instead of guiding me there directly. I sat and waited for 10 more minutes, during which no one came to take my drink order. Frustrated, I decided to leave and went to another restaurant across the parking lot. I was greeted instantly, taken to my table, and the staff promptly took my order and served my drinks within 2 minutes. What happened to good service? I won't be coming back.

I enjoyed my time at Chili's until this afternoon when Happy Hour started. A couple that arrived after me received their drinks and food before I even got my order. What’s going on? Plus, the drink I ordered was $9 during Happy Hour, which felt excessive, especially since both drinks were filled only to the rim, and I barely got to take a few sips. To top it off, that same couple left without even paying. It seemed like they were treated as more important than I was. We won’t be coming back to this location; it's the worst experience I’ve had with staff! I recommend going to the one in Spring Valley, which isn't far from here.

Let me be clear. This facility is by far one of the best chiliss, if not the best I've ever been. Staff up to management. It's absolutely fantastic. Words cannot describe how much I feel at home when I eat here and when I eat from here. The kitchen staff and the boss are absolutely fireproof. The food here seems to come from a much more established restaurant that is phenomenal. I know the difference. This chili deserves much more respect and stars than what it has and does. I waited to check this site and I recommend it. Great food and staff.

It was lunch time so I both give them slack on being behind but also expect quicker service since it was lunch on a weekday. The server was great! He apologized a ton but it still sucks getting your food 15 mins before you have to leave and getting the drinks(from bar) 5 mins before. Overall still great food and great drinks which made up for the slower lunch service. If it was dinner time—it would have been good timing, but when there isn’t a packed restaurant and it’s lunch, I shouldn’t spend my whole time waiting.
