Dallas Chop House

First of all, the steak was delicious and tender; excellent flavor and perfectly cooked. The Wedge salad was good but much too big; it tasted good except it was 95% lettuce with 2 grape tomatoes and a few plain pecans. I’ve never heard of pecans on a wedge and hopefully won’t again; bacon would have helped this salad. The mashed potatoes were so-so at best- no real flavor. The waiter touted the apple crisp dessert but explained it takes 20 minutes to cook. We said that’s fine as we’ll finish our wine. 10-12 minutes later the crisp comes out; unfortunately it is barely cooked apples topped with something uncooked and accompanied by mostly melted ice cream in a bowl. (We requested the ice cream be served not on top of the crisp. . When we mentioned to the waiter that the ice cream was melted he said “we’re having a problem with our freezer.” We didn’t eat the melted ice cream and upon discovering the apples weren’t cooked in the crisp we left that as well. As appropriate, the waiter offered and did take the dessert off our bill but it doesn’t seem a quality steakhouse would offer such a poor dish; just tell customers there is no ice cream and offer another dessert. Even though the steak was very good I wouldn’t return due to the other poor or mediocre dishes.

High quality steaks prepared to requested temperature with delicious sides! Service was on point. Seating actually provides more room than typical restaurants. Ambiance was nice, but not special.

It was amazing. We had not been able to get a table for 6 online and were told we could not reserve a table for more than 4 that evening when we called. When we arrived there was seating outside that we were able to take advantage of and we were able to seat our entire group at once. Food was beyond delicious

My husband and I dined here for NYE. The food was amazing and the service just as great! There was a preset menu but the options were great. Our server did not rush us at all throughout the dinner. 3 courses and 2 bottles of wine later we were done, full and extremely happy. We will be back to try the rest of their regular menu. Great job Dallas Chop House!

It was ok. It was a fix menu for New Years but food was blah and came out faster than my drinks.
