The food was no better than something I guy ordwr at the Dallas Zoo or a water park. There were only 3 dinner options- a burger, a chicken club were 2 of them. The salads used nice greens at least. Sitting outside there were screaming toddlers running around taking very loudly with no parental oversight (not the restaurants fault but also not great). The tables were old outside with few options and I was facing north so that every car tha pulled in to valet was shining it’s light directly in my eyes (maybe have people turn off lights asap? In addition the seating was next to the road and a narrow driveway so that those same suvs pulled next to me as the left writhin a foot or so with almost no barrier. A little thought to detail would go a long way. Service was okay. Dinner and drinks were. It quick either time I came.
The restaurant looked more like a diner than a tavern. There was no ambience. But the staff was very pleasant; the **** Marys were quite good, and the brunch items were tasty and generous. My Mexican style eggs over refried beans with cotija cheese and crema was real comfort food on a blustery January morning. Good coffee too.
This was disappointing. I went into the bar with a group of people. It took 30 minutes to order an old fashioned and it took another 30 minutes to get my drink to me. Another person in our group got a moscow mule that was disgusting. My old Fashionedwas also disgusting. Other drinks in the bar had coctail ice cubes. I had ice chips from a vending machine. For being a nicerplace, they can not seem to get how the bar should run. Refused to order food because 1 drink took an hour! Will never return.Nor will any of the 12 people that were with me.
Came here for drinks at 7pm, relatively early for a Saturday night and to our surprise it was pretty empty. Thinking this was perfect for our party of 9 as we were meeting for a friends Birthday we took a seat at the booth directly in front if the bar.The server was very nice but clearly overwhelmed as her help was lacking urgency or motivation. (1server/1 buss boy) There werethree other events being hosted at the hotel that night and it was clear the restaurant was understaffed. We waited over 40minutes to be acknowledged and another 30 just be served some, not all of our drinks. Unfortunately those drinks were not madecorrectly. At this point we were over it and our now hour and a half long experience for 4 nasty drinks we couldn't even drink. The manager was understanding and comped our bill. The server was understanding and apologized. Maybe try this place out whenthere isn't 3 weddings happening on one night.
Decent food but NOT worth the wait. I visited Front Room Tavern on a Saturday night before seeing a show at the McFarlin Auditorium. There we?re maybe 5 tables full. When we arrived, we were told that we could take a seat where ever we wanted (werequested outside) and that the waitress would follow us out? 38 minutes later and we had yet to see our waitress, get waters,or even menus. We ended up moving in to the bar to receive service as the bartender and the bus boy ignored our waves (we madeeye contact and yet they never came over). Even with sitting at the bar, each food item we ordered took a minimum of 40 minutesto arrive (and seemed to have been left under a heat lamp) and our drinks took 20+ minutes. At one point, we ended upre-requesting a drink and the bartender did not remember that we had ordered, much less what the drink was. We ordered 3different food items. They were good, but pretty average. An hour and 45 minutes for a dinner, solely based on service? I willnot be returning.
