Golden Corral Buffet Grill - Dallas

I revisited a familiar restaurant in the area, but unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. The selection of food was quite limited. They were closing early for New Year's Eve, and despite having about three hours until closing time, the experience was disappointing. There was no one available to slice the ham they offered, and when I finally caught the attention of a staff member, she just walked away. Another employee had to call for her to come help me, but she reacted with annoyance and muttered something under her breath. At that point, I lost my appetite for the ham. Given the prices we were charged, the service should have been much better. Overall, I won't be returning to this restaurant.

The fish was undercooked, and the shrimp was fried to a very dark color, making a sound like rocks hitting the floor. They only offered dark meat as well. It was quite disappointing, especially considering the respect we owe to veterans. The cooks seemed to find it amusing and laughed about it. The only positive aspect of my visit was the service and the camaraderie with other veterans. This was my first bad experience with them, but I will be sure to choose more wisely next time.

Been going to this restaurant since 1980. Back then it was like THE place to go and although Forest Lane location is closed my wife and I go the extra miles to the location near Mesquite. Always great food and always receive a veteran discount plus senior. Recently we had a complimentary Veterans Day meal. Looking forward to Thanksgiving dinner there. Wait staff is on spot and not annoying by constant questions about needing something but instead they’re rather great and plates are cleared in a professional manner. Water glasses stay well tipped off and often I don’t even notice them doing it.

After a long day of driving, thought I stop at one of my favorite spots from back home, but to my surprise this place is nothing like what I'm used too. First go in the restroom to wash up, it's so dirty. Tissue on the floor. Floor was wet, 1 toilet still had urine in it.Food was really good and my waitress Violeta was absolutely wonderful. I was really enjoying my food until I noticed the grill cook Maria cleaning and sweeping the floors (which is good), but then turned to serve meat without washing her hands or didn't have on any gloves. This is disgusting. I left immediately. I will not return to this location until some changes are made with cleanliness.

Food was delicious ? I’ve been going to Golden Corral since a kid and the flavor seems to have been the same for years no matter which Golden Corral you go to. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star is the place could use a bit of renovation. This being said it does not take away from the food experience nor the polite waitress we had. Restroom smelled and looked clean as well which was surprising to me. Overall a great place to eat and feed the family. Highly recommend. Spent $25 for 2 adult with 1 soft drink.
