I awarded this restaurant with a 5-star rating because it truly deserves it! This establishment is a hidden gem in the local area. People of all ages frequent here, giving it a charming small town atmosphere. It feels like a place where families have made dining here a tradition. The food is delicious, the service is excellent and efficient, and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend dining here. Additionally, parking is always easily available as the restaurant is located on a corner with a surrounding parking lot. It's very easy to spot and access.

However, once we entered, it turned out to be a very inviting establishment. While the prices were a bit high, the experience was definitely worth it. My po boy was good but if we were within 50 miles of the coast they would lose 2 stars. Maybe I should have gone for the catfish. Tartar sauce appeared to be miracle whip, the hush puppies from frozen stick style, fries were average. One time visit..if a second trip was as lackluster, I'd drop a star. And as hard as it is to park nearby, that's unlikely. I've had better at Long John's. At least LJS has good coleslaw and decent hushpuppies. Don't know why HLS is so recommended. I really should have tried the fish.Parking: Apparently Walgreens across the street WILL tow.
