Wasn't here for years, the food was still fantastic. It is changed overall as the pandemic with the layout and cake in a glass instead of towers of cakes everywhere. Cake is still amazing. Miss the old vibe, as it was a bit slow, not many cartridges, robot delivery, etc. You can say they work hard and fight so many others with staff. Overall good food and service. I can go to Brunch vs dinner, although the new atmosphere and energy feels more brutal. I can buy cake there as you can still get these pre-ordered online and want to further support this business that has been in Dallas for ever. Ps. Mojiotos are definitely on the recommended list.
The eggs Benedict on a pop-up bakery? Was I one of the best fucking dishes? ve had in my lifeee!!! The guacamole and chips were great chips are thin and crisp, and the sharp salsa on the sides was really damn good. Our eggs and chorizo were also incredible.
This was my first time at this point and it was not disappointed. 1. Personal Your front staff was excellent and helped us get some brunch drinks while we waited for our table. You can use the QR code they give you when they order you directly (and it shows your run tab that is cool). 2. Food The picadillo empanadas with chimichurri were excellent! We also ordered the Benedict on a popover, queso with rajas, curtains, congri and the breakfast enchiladas. All were delicious BUT our eyes were much bigger than our stomach! 2 things to consider!!! Parking is very limited! You might have to find a place on the street. This is a small place, so I recommend reservations. It is on another road, so if you miss it (via the road from the box barrel) you have to circle around.
Used to be a favorite and prior to pandemic was a frequent customer. But slowly La Duni has reduced portions, cut corners on quality and overcharge for everything. La Duni has forgotten who they serve and are more focused on their bottom line than the customer experience. Recently got a large to go order and the cake in a jar for $8.95 is ridiculously small size in a tiny 8 oz jar, even smaller chocolate dipped cookies for $6.95 were melted because they were placed on top of hot entree, and tea was in a kid size cup. I wouldn 't mind paying inflation prices if the quality and portion size were appropriate. La Duni has struggled for years with the whole concept of customer service and if they would focus more on who and what they are serving they would have a thriving business. Sadly, after several bad experiences at La Duni over the years and recently, I will never give my money to this business again.
