La Madeleine - Dallas

Good vibes here but it’s always awkward placing an order in-person at the counter because the staff members always seem confused at who’s responsible for what. I went up to place an order with the person behind the counter, but then they looked at me confusedly and walked to the back, where I could see them discussing with their coworkers as to who’s job it was to take my order. The designated person emerged and took my order, but that stuff is just weird and shouldn’t happen. Other than that, the food is pretty much standard La Madeleine food. I do love the dining area — it’s airy and breezy in the “hallway” of NorthPark (that sounds sad but it’s actually great).

I had a chicken ceaser salad sandwich with the pasta salad side. The sandwich was pretty good, a little dry but nevertheless fulfilling. The pasta salad side sucked, cold and flavourless, I definitely don't recommend it. However the chicken pesto pasta I usually get is delicious, creamy and savory.Food: 4/5

I love coming to this Madeleine restaurant, staff are friendly most of the time, it’s almost never busy when I visit. I find their expresso drinks way too sweet and their regular coffee sometimes is just warm if not cold.I usually get Chicken La Madeleine or the French Breakfast, both are okay, the scrambled eggs are not “real” eggs ? I think ?.The very last time I went I tried something different (salad sampler, and I loved it. I am definitely coming back, no doubt, and I also recommend this location.Oh btw I love their mimosas…
