Lavendou Bistro Provincial - Dallas

I had an amazing time dining at this restaurant! I highly recommend trying the Steak Frites.

The food from the regular menu was tasty, but not outstanding considering the high prices. The high tea was average and the snacks were also average. It would be helpful if they refilled the tea pot without having to ask. The pasta and French onion soup were good. The portions are on the smaller side, typical of a French restaurant. The restaurant felt cramped and the decor was dark and gloomy. It would be better if the staff checked on customers more frequently without having to be flagged down.

I ordered the duck and it was absolutely delicious! I also highly recommend the escargots and soufflé. The staff were attentive without being overbearing. I appreciated that they have round tables for larger groups, making everyone feel included in the conversation. The only hiccup we encountered was that one of the soufflés collapsed before reaching our table, causing a delay in its arrival. Sadly, by the time it came, most of our group had already finished their meals. Despite this minor setback, I still believe this restaurant is fantastic with incredible food!

My favorite restaurant in DFW. Classic French cuisine, prepared perfectly. Exquisite as always every single dish. Great wine selection to pair with each course. We have been dining here for 20 years and it never disappoints.

Loud, bustling bistro. Do not recommend the afternoon tea. In spite of the reasonable price for tea, the selection was not great, food was mediocre and the service felt like a factory: guests in and out.
