I had the prime rib with cream spinach and mashed potatoes (my mouth is watering) and he had a steak with fried onions and mashed potatoes. ???? I'm ready for another visit already!!
I took my wife for our anniversary. We were both disappointed with the whole experience. Dirty dishes, glasses had lipstick on them, fork had food on it, my knife was so dull it wouldn't cut bread. Service was slow even with restaurant at half capacity. The restaurant was at one time a top notch place to dine but not anymore. We eat at nice restaurants regularly and this was the only time in several years I actually felt ripped off to be honest. With tip our meal was over$250.00 for two of us and I genuinely felt like we had received an $80.00 meal with $80.00 service. It wasn't always like this as the place used to be spot on with service and food. At those prices with the level of service we received youhave many better restaurants in the area to choose from. I understand restaurants have had a tough go the last 2 years but the night before our anniversary we had better steaks and service for half the price at Haywire, so I know thepandemic isn't the reason for the issues. Maybe we just had reservations on an off night, at least I hope that was the case. We actually stopped at another restaurant for desert and coffee on the way home because we didn't want to be atLawry's anymore. At the second restaurant they inquired about our night and we told them it was our anniversary. They brought out special deserts on plates hand decorating the plates with sauces spelling happy anniversary. Lawry's wasinformed ahead of time it was our anniversary and never even mentioned it while we were there. This may sound trivial, but it makes a huge difference and shows how off they are compared to a restaurant where we only ordered deserts andcoffee.
It was my Birthday Celebration and my guests as well as myself enjoyed the evening. We loved the Carolers!
Travis our server, Gabriel his assistant. Carlos master carver on the cart. all took care of us. Travis was very attentive and explained everything to us since this was our first time in. Even took it the extra mile and surprised us with the cake at the end. It happened to be our 10th anniversary we were celebrating. I hope to cross paths with Travis again he was the best!
The ONLY negative about this place is that it is expensive.
