Not bad for overpriced airport food. We had 2 drinks, an appetizer, and a bacon burger, +tip $100. Service was good and fast.
Drinks are impeccable... food is delicious. It was a whole mood traveling and having to take a connecting flight... just to find this slice of heaven tucked away at gate A25
Fresh fish at an airport restaurant? Is that possible?? Well, here at the DFW airport's Pappadeaux, it is indeed possible! Prices are outrageous everywhere at this airport and this was no exception. My order of fried catfish po'boy with fries was around $25 and it was one of the cheaper things on the menu. But holy cow, this was a lot of food! But since I'm a fatty, I devoured all of it! Haha! But it did take me over an hour to conquer my mountain of fried food and carbs so make sure you give yourself plenty of time to eat your meal. The service was fabulous and 10x better than the already pretty good food. I can't express enough how impressed I was with my waitress' kindness and attentiveness. As for the food, the fries were pretty lame but since there were so many of them, I kept eating them until I felt sick (because that's how I roll lol). I give the po'boy an 8.5. The bun was tasty and buttered, the coleslaw was vinegar based, which is just how I like it, and the coating of the breading was better than many generic seasoning. The fish itself was good although it was a bit soggy towards one end. As a girl on a budget, I'm glad I got to try this once but I doubt I'll be able to afford a repeat visit.
For an airport restaurant, this was a good place to stop. Service was quick, there were plenty of choices on the menu but pretty expensive as you don't have many sit down places to eat in the airport.
