Pie Tap Pizza Workshop - Dallas

The pizza oven, along with the variety of options, is fantastic. The small salmon board could have included more items, especially considering the price, but everything tasted excellent. This was our second time dining there.

After about six minutes, I ordered the hot honey chicken sandwich and an Aperol spritz. The Aperol arrived almost instantly, but I didn’t receive my sandwich for nearly 57 minutes. I asked the server a couple of times if he could check on my order. When he first checked back, he mentioned that the kitchen printer had run out of paper, so my order hadn’t gone through. However, after I inquired, he went to the computer screen for a few minutes before rushing to the open kitchen, which made me suspect he simply forgot about my order. Even after finally placing it, I had to follow up a couple more times. It wasn’t until a manager came by to ask if I needed anything that I let out my frustration and said, “my food.” The reason I'm compelled to write this review is that I spent 1 hour and 45 minutes in Pie Tap, had two drinks, and waited far too long for my poorly managed sandwich. Despite the staff acknowledging their mistake, they didn’t offer any discount or compensation. Would I consider returning? Maybe. But that was frustrating. Having worked in restaurant management for several years, I know that when you provide poor service, the best way to show you care is to offer some form of compensation—not just apologies for a situation that was entirely in your control. Pie Tap, I recommend you discuss with your team the importance of customer care and addressing issues more effectively.

I intended to take a photo, but the food was so delicious that I finished it too quickly! The ranch dipping sauce complemented the pizza perfectly. Our server, Race, provided exceptional service—definitely top-tier! We were warmly welcomed, given a thorough overview of the menu, and received attentive service throughout our visit. I would rate it a perfect 10/10!

We had a great experience at this location as usual. This place truly never misses. The staff was friendly from the moment we stepped in the door, our server was knowledgeable about the menu, made great suggestions, and friendly but not overbearing. We were never left wanting and he checked in often. I had the prosciutto pizza and the frose (the rosemary in the frose is such a nice touch!

Pizza and food were good, it was a date night with me and my wife. She forgot her drivers license at the house and couldn’t have alcohol. Can’t remember the last time we were carded anywhere. But it put a little damper on things. So we ate and went elsewhere. But overall pizza was good.
