Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired; I had to ask for the check after waiting a long time, and the server didn’t return after delivering our food. My dish arrived quite quickly, but my date’s meal came several minutes later. To make matters worse, she was disappointed with her food. As someone familiar with Colombian cuisine, she found it lacking in flavor, and the yuca she received tasted slightly old. I was really hoping for a better experience since the nearest Colombian restaurant is quite far from our home. It looks like we’ll be making the drive to Carrollton from now on.
The food was outstanding! I brought my team out for lunch, but I did have one issue: the menu didn’t include any prices. I was taken aback when I saw the bill—$95 for three people!
As a Colombian who grew up in Jackson Heights, where I was surrounded by the culture, I always took for granted my access to bandeja paisa, empanadas, and chicharrón, paired with a cold Postobón. The food here was freshly prepared and incredibly well made. The seasoning on the empanadas was perfect, the chicharrón was both crispy and juicy, and the beans were expertly cooked. If this restaurant weren't so far out of my usual routes, I would definitely come here more often.
The food was delicious and reminded me of the meals I ate in Cartagena. The staff was also really nice and the ambiance in the restaurant was good as well. I’ll definitely be back!
I ate Colombian food for the first time, and it was really good, especially the empanadas, uhhhh and the fruit juice is DELICIOUS!!!!!
