Sushi Robata - Dallas

While I do consider other reviews and ratings, I make a conscious effort not to let them influence my own perceptions of the restaurants I evaluate, and this approach has consistently proven beneficial. Recently, I dined at this restaurant alongside another establishment, and regrettably, I must say that it did not live up to its esteemed reputation. To be succinct, the atmosphere felt dingy and outdated. The food was far from fresh; the fish appeared to be as old as two weeks, and the vegetables, though marinated in sauce, were both uninspiring in presentation and flavor. Despite the average price point, I found it unacceptable to pay for subpar ingredients masked by excessive seasoning. Adding to my less-than-satisfactory experience, the service left much to be desired. The waitress was unfriendly, barely engaged in conversation, and even forgot one of my orders. This visit was my first, and I have little doubt it will be my last. Wishing you peace and harmony in your culinary endeavors!

This is my favorite restaurant, and I truly believe it gets better with each visit. The takoyaki is crispy and packed with flavor. The tonkotsu ramen is served hot and is absolutely delicious, with an excellent noodle texture. The sashimi has an incredible flavor that practically melts in your mouth. Given the amount of food my husband and I typically order, the prices are very reasonable for a Japanese restaurant, especially considering how superb the food is here.

I requested no wasabi on my sushi and watched my server write it down. After receiving my sushi, I ate one piece to realize there was wasabi. They remade my order, but served me one less piece which is ridiculous if you made the order wrong, you should remake the whole thing. The food was good, but the service was questionable.

Came here for happy hour with a girlfriend of mine. Ordered the octopus balls, 2 different sushi rolls, some sake, beer, and fried sweet potatoes. All of it was delicious. Will definitely come back againFood: 5/5
