The espresso martini was the culinary highlight. Our waiter was attentive, but he automatically added a 20% size to a table of 4 I've never seen on such a small party. He would have made a better tip if he didn't. The hosts were rude and sneaky. A few weeks before our brunch I called The Mansion to make a reservation, and they told me that they were fully booked and rushed to get out of the phone. Imagine my surprise when I saw her on the open table, and I was easily able to make the reservation that they refused to call me. It wasn't a terrible experience, it was simply overwhelming, with a pinge of persistence.
Fantastic. Some of the best I have experienced in the last 20 years. When I said that, I was not impressed with the menu. Both my wife and I were hard to find something we really wanted to eat. It seemed that every article on the relatively small, 8 article menu, had something that we really 't care for like walnuts, hazelnuts, celery root, onion jam, celery pure and smoked brisket on a zartoin on each guest. I had the Peken Duck. Don't confuse this with Beijing Duck. They are night and day and open the duck of the mansion was neither tender nor tasteful and the root vegetables were practically raw. That's "it's done for us. We'll be at Capitol Grill next time.
Everyone was great. Sa in the fireplace room. All meals were well accepted mine. I was disappointed when my fish had no taste and it was undercooked. But still s great experience in total!!!
