Ate Malou Kuya Steve(the owners) is always incredibly friendly warm! We always find a way to visit eat here every once in a while. .
The Shed at 2828 gave me hope, not only in Tarlac Healthy Gourmet but also with a promising vision in advocating a healthy society with a healthy mind. I rarely go around Tarlac just to eat out because of the very limited healthy food places we can try here. I live with 3 senior citizens: a 92 year old grandma and my parents who makes sure they eat non processed, they could patiently wait for organic food and never settle with instant meals. Dad is Pescetarian for more than 20 yrs now and with this diet, we can see an active and youthful looking Dad at 62. We are a family with diabetic blood and living the usual office work routine makes me settle with just instant meals. Part of why I became very choosy with what I eat now is because my body feels very happy when I eat fresh and I end up going back again to the hospital if I don 't maintain it. Because of all these, we became healthy food enthusiasts and really value people who loves planting their own food and growing their own garden. Most of the best ones we usually even support and hire for catering in our family events, but the struggle to stand with the advocacy for healthy food continues to be very challenging in this town full of sisig and msg lovers that 's why we felt we lost hope when good food establishments close down. Living alone in Manila and Singapore for more than a decade really made me miss fresh homecooked meals a lot and also somehow made me the best food explorer I can be since I 'd rather eat alone and when I do, I don 't settle for the usual. My mindset when I eat out: I am paying for something I can 't do myself so it should better be new to my palate. I had a delightful experience with The Shed. I can say that they are really at par with international quality especially their steak served with potatoes and organic egg that is really a champion! Being a foodie and a constant explorer of several hotel buffets with unique dishes, I can say that this is something Tarlac needs to try, not only for themselves to savour but also for the food establishments to consider raising their food standards to cater for health buffs and people like us who even consider traveling out of Tarlac just to experience a good meal. Ambience: It 's a kubo themed place with small tables, it 's air cool maybe only during the night. So no aircon, no fancy sofas and all that unnecessary stuff you enjoy during your Tambay hours for a frappe in Starbucks. I can go on and on with what the place lacks, but all I can see is the place is enough and the experience with The Shed don 't really welcome long tambay hours, please consider others to take the table too since they only have a few and have the heart to order more instead of just staying long for their Free Wifi. Some may find it intimidating to enter somebody else 's place and get served by the owners themselves but the experience we had at The Shed we 're authentic family gestures from the cook (owners) to the kids and to even the friendly dogs! While waiting for food, there was an impromptu acoustic singing of the famous Children song: BINGO (the dog of some farmer) for my pamangkins with a few magic tricks by the kids themselves and the dog even welcomed playing with my toddler pamangkins. How 's that for entertainment?! I see love in this place. They did not only feed our tummies with healthy and yummy food but they also took some time feeding our minds with a vision of hope in planning for a healthy Tarlac with healthy minds. Salute to this family!
