Great view, spacious terrace and very nice staff. The tastiest schnitzels are available here. They are always freshly beaten and breaded. You can even order these as a gluten-free version.

Not only very popular with aviators, guests with cars and bicycles also like to come to the terrace of the “Gaststätte am Flugplatz”, especially when the weather is good. There is always a lot to see, lots of take offs and landings, refueling of the planes and sometimes helicopters or even parachutists. You can take in all this with coffee and cake or a currywurst and all kinds of drinks. The innkeepers, mother and son, and their mostly female assistants are always extremely friendly to their guests, and they remain so even when things seem slightly chaotic at times on extremely busy days. The various types of cake are homemade and always fresh, and the savory things such as currywurst, French fries, or Leberkäse with (fresh! fried potatoes and fried eggs, or even schnitzel, are always excellent, sometimes even very individual to the guests ' wishes compiled. It 's not a starred restaurant , and it can happen that certain dishes are suddenly sold out but at this point I think some malicious criticism is unjustified, even highly unnecessary! Visitors appreciate and like the personal, the friendly, the uncomplicated and the almost familiar, THAT is what the guests want in Damme and THAT is simply true here!!! KEEP IT UP ! ! ! Full number of stars, lovely, friendly staff and can only recommend it again and again. You feel like you're at home, it's just great and the food is very, very good. I'm just thrilled. It's great to talk to the staff. Totally nice people there. You can stay there for hours. I love it and only recommend it
