Dampier Mermaid

The menu at this restaurant is excellent. The fact that it is not frequented by locals is a positive sign. The food options are simple but have generous portions. The view of the bay is breathtaking. The decor may be a bit outdated, but it complements the surroundings. I would highly recommend this restaurant as a wonderful spot for a late lunch or early dinner. It may get crowded with locals enjoying drinks in the evening.

The restaurant is in a fantastic location, offering a stunning view and a spacious beer garden. However, it is in need of a renovation. It's a great spot to enjoy a few drinks while watching the sunset.

The Mermaid is the only pub in Dampier with great potential to be a fantastic place. It is a typical pub in a remote area that benefits from lack of competition. The food is good quality and served in large portions, especially the chicken parmi with chips. It is family-friendly but all meals are ordered in the busy front bar. There are no social disputes but some antisocial behaviors have been observed. The employees are friendly and there are Skimpies serving drinks. The outdoor area could use some cleaning and landscaping.

Immersed for lunch on the advice of the tourism information center Karratha Watch old and tired what it is, but it also has a lot of old land character and a beautiful view from the outside We had the fish and chips that were... a huge portion. The fish was fresh and well cooked, good chips and a nice crispy fresh salad Quite a surprise drinks were quite expensive, but all in all a pleasant experience

When we lived in Karratha we would go to the Mermaid Tavern for drinks and a day out.Decided we would again this trip and the place really hasnt changed at all and thats not a bad thing.We had a fishermans basket and shared it between...2 of us and there was enough that we were full and it was good.$34 it should be.Drinks were a little on the rich side but we were only having 2 each so fine.Car Park and everything about it was the same.Had trouble getting clean knives and forks as they were out in both eating areas.Had trouble finding the toilets which were hidden out the back.Very much a locals pub and it works for them but as a tourist if it was my first trip there it wouldnt get much recommendation
