My expectations were met to some extent in Ethnic Table, a highly recommended small eatery after I did some web searching. I visited along with my husband and ordered a veg thali, a smoked pork with akhuni thali and pork ribs. Pros- The prok ribs are very delicious and a must try (you will get 2 ribs and 2 fat servings)and the chutney they serve along with the veg thali is also very good (if you love hot). The girl who takes your order I very sweet and helping too. Cons- if you have a weak stomach and not from around Nagaland then you might have problem with the smell once you enter the small eatery. It doesn 't have any proper ventilation and smells quite different which made me and my husband nauseated. But we decided to have lunch as we didn 't want to disrespect the food. Also the ambience is quite boring with no music around. I personally wouldn 't visit it again, rather just order online from there if I want to try those pork ribs again.
I recently had lunch at Ethnic Table after reading positive reviews online, and I was not disappointed. Despite its small and modest entrance, the location on Google Maps is accurate, making it easy to find. I ordered the Smoked Pork Thali, which was delicious and served hot and fresh. Despite being the only customer on a slow weekday afternoon, the food arrived quickly. I highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone visiting Dimapur.
Ethnic table, good place and also good atmosphere, u can enjoy the taste of Nagaland from here, good service also
My friend and I went to this restaurant for lunch in November 2017 to try Naga cuisine. We ordered a Veg Naga Thali, Pork Anishi, and Chicken Bambooshoot curries. The Veg Naga Thali included naga dal, rusup (a mixed vegetable curry), plain boiled rice, chutney, and boiled vegetables, which I enjoyed. The Pork Anishi, made with fermented yam paste, was a hit with my friend. I personally loved the flavorful and spicy Chicken Bambooshoot curry.
